Zachary brought home the class pet today...I'm afraid he didn't get much attention, lol! AND - while my friend has the real deal of this stuffed animal...I'm just glad that I don't! It was big even for a stuffed animal.

Baked all day today for the Fall Festival Cake Walk/baked goods section at school. In order for the kids to receive a homework pass, they each have to turn in 2 baked goods.
6 baked goods (2x3 kids) = happy children.
happy children = tired mommy
1 tired mommy+2 mountain dew cakes+2 ultimate toffee brownies+2 ooey gooey butter bars = one very messy kitchen!

Kaitlyn had an all day field trip to the State Capital, Bicentennial Mall park for lunch, and the Tennessee State Museum. FUN day...for her, lol! I do think that is very neat that they give them the Tennessee Blue book for of historical information and Tennessee government facts. That will be VERY useful to her later on!

We have lived Annie for the last week. Brandon's practicing every night this week (except for the performance on Thursday) until 7:00. TOUGH week and weekend schedule, but hopefully he can do it!

I was SO STINKING excited to find ALL 3 of my kid's Christmas tradition items at Cracker Barrel today...STINKING excited!
Brandon gets a Rudolph. (which a reindeer with a red nose is harder to find each year)
Zachary gets a snowman.
Kaitlyn gets a gingerbread thing...house, person, whatever....
They all get a an ornament, too. I've already found Zachary's ornament...now to find Brandon's and Kaitlyn's.
Oh, and B requested a change to his tradition...he wants penguins now (imagine that!)...
Sorry, dude...no can do. Tradition is TRADITION! :)

The find of the day for Kaitlyn and LeAnna was this little snail shell that immediately sparked an all out bug search complete with a decorated shoebox filled with grass and other items. FUN Saturday stuff, let me tell ya!

It was the first date night tonight for Kaitlyn and her daddy. You can tell by the look on her face that she was VERY excited. She had to spend a lot of time finding the special outfit to wear (not too dressy, not to casual, lol) and then had to have her on course at the restaurant (steak, of course) AND dessert. She was insistent that he open the door to her and captivated the conversation. Apparently she's going to be excellent date material. Hopefully those attributes will only allow a few select men (cause she's not dating until she's OLD) to qualify! :)

I'm sure I probably should have cleaned this up, BUT in my defense...I needed a picture of the day (and this is probably not the best, but it's a picture) AND I DID pass by this simple, sunny, shiny, sparkly, spider's web and my camera WAS right on the cabinet beside it...

I absolutely HATE sorting and folding the stupid socks in our house. My pile of unmatched socks was just as large as these combined! CRAZY!!!! And all the stupid dirty bottom socks of the boys. I think they think that I should buy new socks weekly! In fact, there are missing pairs to the ones that are new...but yet I find BOTH of the ones with holes in the bottoms!

I LOVE fresh flowers from Costco & Sam's Club...and love arranging them. Thomas knows that and told me I could get some when we were at Costco yesterday. I love seeing them when I round the corner of the living room. Makes me smile. Thanks Thomas!

Fresh from an orchard apples from Mom's house made some super yummy caramalized apples this morning for the kids. Hmmm...all my posts this week have been food photos. What do you think that's about? (couldn't have anything to do with the fact that I've NOT been doing my diet, huh?)

We went to celebrate my dad's birthday tonight @ their house. His birthday was on Wednesday, but with all the school activities we couldn't get out there until tonight. His request: His favorite Coconut Sour Cream Cake with cream cheese icing. SOOOO decadently RICH and heavy. He loves it. In fact, he snuck in 2 pieces tonight (literally SNUCK into the kitchen and quietly fixed a second piece!)

Brandon hurt his back at some point during PE today...twisted funny perhaps? Anyhooo...he came home early and decided to sit and read...love that!
