Kaitlyn has learned how to braid.

I had Kaitlyn get her Dora house and all the pieces to it to give to another little girl. She decided that she needed to play with it a few more times before giving it away. Here's a shot of the playtime from today. I thought it was ingenious that she made Boots able to sit at the table by sticking his tail through the back of the seat. Too cute!

Zachary had a great opening day game. He had a great hit (for him) and it boosted his confidence. He got to play several different positions, one of which was 2nd base. It always makes me nervous for him when he plays a different position, because I worry if he knows what to do. But, he did well.

And...the only 'game' pictures I got were the few through the fence. BECAUSE...not only did it rain all night leaving muddy fields, it also was a great crisp cold 43 degrees this morning. I wasn't prepared and was very cold. So...I didn't move out of my spot once I got in position.

FYI: Just because they were the most adorable turquoise color peeps you'd ever seen. And just because you forgot to eat them for Easter 1 year ago doesn't mean they're edible today. Trust me. They're not.

Spring trees are blooming. These are among my favorites. Some type of Japanese Maple, I believe?

We're back...luggage at the bottom of the stairs to prove it. Waiting for mom to unload (oh, and wash!).

The Gateway Arch.
We picked the perfect day to go. Crisp 65 degrees...sun shining. Hard to get a shot of this thing without a wide-angle lens, though. Trees are in the way otherwise.

Kaitlyn & I admittedly have a problem. Well...she's inherited it naturally, I guess. We have a "new" addiction. Meaning...whenever there's anything new in the house, it must be used...regardless of having a little stuff left of the old bottle. Thomas' major pet peeve is seeing the new things opened and used when there's still old stuff left. And especially cereal. Who wants the old cereal when there's new ones waiting to be tasted!?! NOT ME!

Couldn't resist a shot of unmatched shoes on the neighbor's toddler playing at my house this afternoon. TOO CUTE!

A huge stack of books purchased yesterday at McCay's Used books. Love that place. I mean, where else can you find books for 1.50 or even .75?!!?!! And can't wait to read them.

Kaitlyn and I were singing this song yesterday afternoon. When she was walking out of the office, she decided my 'board' needed her version written on it. She also requested that it be posted as the photo of the day today. So...here's a shot of it from this morning. And, yes, she's practicing her cursive. I think she needs a bit more practice on some connecting letters. She tends to loop them around...but for the most part, she's doing well!

a leftover scarf from Saturday's snow...not sure whose it is...but took a quick shot of it just to play with some new actions I purchased today for Photoshop.

Homework over the weekend is WAY overrated...not that any kid is rating it highly, or anything like that...but Zachary certainly didn't rate it high on his list of things he wanted to do today. Can you tell?

We bought new phones on Saturday. Love a new phone...the last set has had one phone that's been taped together for awhile now. So love when we get new phones. Crazy little thing of mine...and Brandon is loving the fact that 2 of the phones have different covers. Thomas loved adding all the little labels electronically to the phones. We're definitely a weird family when it comes to things that make us happy, lol!

I don't understand this phenomena of mis-matched socks in this household. There's always a basketfull. Always!
